This JavaScript allows you to associate a dynamic JavaScript menu with regular links on your page. As the mouse moves over the link, a JavaScript menu pops up containing "sub links".

This script displays on any page a 'trail' (aka bread crumb) of where the viewer is currently at in relationship to the rest of the site. It does so by examining the directories that prefix the page, and displaying this containership (using links). If your site pages are organized using folders, this is a simple yet very useful navigation aid.

With this JavaScript, move your mouse over the images to the left JavaScript menu and refresh the page to see different rollover effects. Great!

Combination of pop-up-menu and slideshow. By default the slideshow will scroll from bottom to top pausing between each image. If the visitor clicks on a menu-item the slideshow will be hidden and the submenu-links will be displayed. After some time the slideshow appears again. More features: each image may be linked separately. Most elements can be configured without programming-knowledge inside the head-scetion of the script: background-color, borderwidth, scrollerwidth, scrollerheight, pause between the images and so on.

A different script to display a custom JavaScript menu in place of the default context JavaScript menu when you right click the mouse, with this JavaScript.

Using the new window.createPopup() method of IE 5.5, this context JavaScript menu script differs from the original in that the JavaScript menu can actually extend itself outside the browser window if activated too closely to the four edges. As you can see, it also comes with differing feature sets, including IE 5.5 exclusive Page Zooms. Browsers other than the supported one will simply see the default system menu instead.

The demonstration JavaScript menu bar above is produced solely by a style sheet in the HEAD section, plus HTML, and uses a JavaScript to switch styles when the mouse is passed over the items in the menu. There is no need for graphics at all. Unfortunately it only works with Internet Explorer 4 and later, so it is not of much use at present.

Note: If you use this JavaScript, make sure it is placed after the items in the menu, not in the HEAD of the document.
