Most of you that have been here before have probably seen this script, it's almost the same as the old ZoomText. I have totally remade it and it's much better now. It's still a little slow in Netscape 4, but it's really good in Explorer 4 & 5 and Netscape 5. It also degrades, older browsers just want see it.

There are also some new properties you can set. To make this script zoom the other way you just have to change the zEndSize variable to something lower the zStartSize variable. Try it. You can in theory have more objects going at once as well, but this makes Netscape 4 behave strange.

These are examples for graphics and 3D lettering without GIF or JPEG images. With this style of lettering, pages will load faster than ever. This page can be viewed with Netscape Navigator 4+ or Internet Explorer 4+.

DHTML still has a long way to go in terms of fully replacing images when creating 3D text. While it is quite possible and easy to create DHTML text in IE 4+, it's a different story in NS 4. In fact, because of the way NS handled this script, we had to alter the default look of this script page so the script is not enclosed inside a table (otherwise, the text gets positioned in a 'funny' way). This script is featured more for DHTML developer's sake- take a look at the script's source, and learn from the techniques used to render the 3D text.

This effect makes use of IE's multimedia filters, coupled with scripting, to render an "aura" around any given text. The effect can easily be applied to multiple text, each with differing pulsating colors and speed.

Here's another neat DHTML trick, causing the title to disappear letter by letter. This would be ideal on an entry page to a site.
